We can arrange repairs of a range of issues such as:

Scratches - Dents - Scrapes - Holes - Water damage - Leaks - Damaged walls - Pet damage - Door knob holes - Nail pops - Scuff marks - Dented corner beads & more.

Wall repairs are by far the most common repair we undertake which keeps us very busy but we are able to also assist with small to medium ceiling damage. Feel free to contact to discuss further.

Once you have chosen Fix That Hole to repair your damage, the process begins by assessing your damage as it is at times more complex than face value of what you see on the front of the wall, particularly with ceilings. We can provide an estimate over the phone with images provided by the customer in most instances or attend customer premises for more accurate assessment and quoting if needed.

Minor Gyprock Plaster Damage: For dents and small scrapes, we can easily conceal them by filling them with high quality filler, sanding the area and re painting if needed.

Small Gyprock Plaster Holes: These can be filled with high quality material and taped to ensure no cracking will occur, sanded and re painted if needed.

Medium Gyprock Plaster Holes: Medium holes need to be inspected also behind the area of damage. Once the area of damage is established a new section of gyprock is prepared and the shape is traced around the damaged area. The outline is then cut out ready for the new section whilst taking care no electrical or plumbing fittings are damaged in the process. Timber framing is then used to ensure the existing sheet and new section of gyprock is well secured before joint filling and taping. A minimum 3 coat system is used, sanded once dry and then re painted if required.

Large Gyprock Plaster Damage: Depending on the size of the damage either following the same procedure as a medium hole but on a larger scale or fitting a larger section of gyprock will be required. This is followed by a 3 coat jointing system, sanded once dry and re painted if required.

Painting

Fix That Hole offers a re painting service following repair to get your wall back to appearing like a hole was never there. At times customers choose to arrange their own painting in which case we can provide advice and assist with the re painting process and how to achieve best colour matching.

There are many variables that can affect the final finish following repair. Age of existing paint, sheen, base, lighting and location are all factors to consider. Fix That Hole recommends an undercoat over the repair and to then re paint the entire section of wall or ceiling where the damage had occurred. This is by far the best method and results in a final finish where you can not ever tell there was ever a hole there. Depending on the location of the damage a good colour match may suffice without needing to re paint an entire wall section. This can be discussed in more detail during repair. We can repair only or re paint if needed depending on customer requirements.
